We've ported those Access databases with SOX implications to SQL. Access just doesn't have the level of granularity needed to lock it down properly. SOD is a particular nightmare because all members of the administrators group have full developmental access to the database as well -- a serious no-no.

Why can't you do a global variable that denotes Players (a list of Player) where Player is class that describes each Player that has attributes such as personal information, score, active, isplaying, etc ...
The list of players hence List%26lt;Players%26gt; could be the data structure that holds all players data, so once the person starts playing it checks if that Player1 is active by just traversing that List.
If it doesn't exist, you can spawn a MessageBox.Show(';Player1 is not active';);

Controlling an application via an excel VBA Macro?
I'm sure the answer is out there but I don't know the right lingo to find it. I want to use an excel macro to send a command to another program. The program in question is a securities trading application. I want to be able to type a list of symbols in excel and hit a button saying ';buy everything in this list';. I know such interfaces are possible I have seen Excel sheets that already do it, I am just trying to create a new program for myself. I have not had any success trying to figure out how to create it although I would assume it's done through a VBA macro.

You need to get the format for submitting it at the other end. The Excel side would be pretty easy to do once you know how the data needs to be formatted. Does the other end provide an open source interface you can use?

Under part D. where it says “Where no single criterion”, does that mean parts A. B. and C. or does it mean parts A., B., C.1, and C.2?
Under the Guidance part D., when analyzing C.1 and C.2 for the 80% criteria do I use the original volumes in C.1 and C.2…. or do I apply part C.3 (70% reduction) and then analyze the 80%?Question regarding the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control - Multiway Stop Applications?

You need to buy two separate applications for cats and dogs... You can buy them at WalMart.. They are about 4-5 bucks.. Don't use the cat's on the dog - it wont be strong enough to work.. Dont use the dog's on the cat, it will have an overdose and start shaking.

If you have more then one kittie just duplicate the procedure. Try to be careful not to get any solution on the numbers it will remove them to where it will become unreadable. as far as the dog is concerned you should get him a tube of his own, this will eliminate any possibility of making an error.

This has worked for me and my pets for a year w/o any problems. I even checked on 1800petmeds and if you check the chemical description on the products, it's the same for dogs and cats!

then click on Sounds, speech, and audio devices
click on adjust the system volume next.
then in the next window click place the volume icon in the taskbar.
and accept that.

Why does computer headphone jack not play sound from applications? Control panel plays test sounds from it?
I run Vista and sound still comes out of the speakers and not the headphones when I plug my headphones into the headphone jack. I can test the headphones from the Control Panel Sounds setting and sounds come out perfect from there and tells me when headphones are connected and says they are connected correctly. It is the correct jack and headphones work otherwise. Is there some setting someplace that needs to tell the speakers to turn off when headphone put in that might be off that I need to change? How do I schedule an application to automatically launch at 4am and then automatically shutdown at 9am on my iMac? My iMac is left on 24 x 7 and usually has a dummy account logged in. It is running OS X 10.5.8

It sounds like you have way too many things running. You don't say what version of Win you are using but try hitting the Start button / Run / Type msconfig and Enter. Choose the Startup Tab and remove the checkmark for those programs that are obviously not used by you. By just removing the check you can come back later if you think you need any of these items. Most of these items will be activated if you open its associated app program anyway and closed when you close the app.

The Human brain is said to be a supercomputer surpassing any made to date. If this is so, DREAMS must be simulations of possible Realities- if at least only imaginable Reality. If one person can dream something up, another person could dream the same thing.

A long time ago I became aware of when I was in a dream state. I also became aware that if I didn't like what was going on in that state, that I could break the dream by simply opening my eyes.
After a while, I could set up a scenario and let it play out, to see what the people (in the dream would do). I've found it beneficial when I am working on a novel and am looking for an answer to a ';what if?'; scenario.
Whenever, I place myself in my own dream, my conscious state appears to take over and unless I've been in the location that I place myself, nothing happens (no experience to draw upon).
I cannot control the dreams of another.
One may ask, how did my control start? It started when I heard a person talking about getting to sleep. That if we clear our mind and make it a blank slate (not thinking about any _thing_), that nature, which abhors a vacuum, will soon start filling it with an image and that if we want to sleep, we need to concentrate on the image that our mind paints. As I practiced this on the occasions that required it, I slowly became aware that I could do more than just blank my mind, but set up fantasy situations--in this case, as a big original series Star Trek fan, I set up the situation of me on the bridge of the Enterprise and let it play out (It didn't work very well; Kirk would always call for security and have me escorted to sickbay where some nondescript duty nurse or doctor would examine me and then I'd be dropped off at the nearest starbase). Obviously, I remember what I dream if I consider it of value.

Lucid dreams can be extremely real and vivid depending on a person's level of self-awareness during the lucid dream
It is possible to control your own dreams. As others state you must first understand that you are dreaming and from there you can have some control over the dream.
I've done it on a number of times and I'll tell you this, you can't say ';I want to dream about having an orgy with hotties'; and it happens. Instead whatever you are dreaming about you become able to change or manipulate aspects of it. For example you can make things appear and in other rooms or locations in your dream.
